Matthew & Kate's Engagement
In the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Okay! So after getting rained out from an unexpected storm the first time, we finally got to photograph this amazing couple's engagement, and I couldn't have been any happier with the entire photoshoot: the weather was perfect, and the sunset glowed upon the mountains and this sweet couple as if a special order was placed just for them!
I met Kate & Matthew at Chateau Morrisette which is nestled off of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and thankfully, the weather was more than cooperative and this couple is not only so very sweet, but also a barrel of laughs. I had so much fun taking their pictures: they truly blessed me, and I am looking forward to capturing more of their momentous occasions in the future!
I cannot say enough good things about this couple, this evening, this photo session, and this romantic, awe-inspiring Chateau Morisette: the grounds, architecture, and location are gorgeous! We were able to shoot some up close & intimate portraits with some lovely blooming irises in the background.
We were able to get some shots on the rocks and tall grass (I know that rocks was one of the requests that this couple had, and this pleased me to make them happy). And then, we were able to finish off their photoshoot with the sun setting over the mountaintops behind Kate and Matthew. I believe the couple was just as pleased as I was for this perfect evening.
I loved getting to know these two, and again, I cannot express how deeply thankful I am for this opportunity to photograph this special occasion for Matthew and Kate. I am thrilled to share some of our favorites from their engagement session!!!
