Website Design for Sinkland Farms Wedding & Event Venue

Sinkland Farms Wedding Venue Landing Page

When Sinkland Farms and I sat down to discuss what can we do to customize their website with the latest update in Squarespace, my first thought was, "Your farm, your wedding and event venue,  is gorgeous, and people need to see it!" Not everyone who learns of Sinkland Farms' weddings, events, and festivals live in the area: they need to see the beauty of their farm. I believe I was accurate, and we have seen a good report from the viewers being able to drink in the serenity of the Sinkland Farms Estate. It's been an honor and privilege to work alongside Susan and capture all of the lovely features of Sinkland Farms. As a patron there myself for years now, decades even, I cherish this place, and I am so very thankful to be a part of their weddings, events, and festivals.

Inserting professional photography in banners between information and features is a great opportunity to showcase the breathtakingly beautiful setting Sinkland Farms has to offer for all occasions.

One of our goals was to try to make each web page user-friendly and help the audience navigate the pages easily and to clearly see everything Sinkland Farms has on their website and what is happening and upcoming on their farm for their weddings, events, and festivals. Creating small graphical thumbnails right away after introducing who they are, is a short, sweet, simple, and attractive way of letting the audience know what Sinkland Farms has going on and minimizing space on their website; oftentimes, these are also graphical images we created for corresponding online ads and social media posts.

On the homepage, we placed a brief introduction to lead the viewers to the main features we have on our website in the other web pages that can also be found on our main header and footer navigation.  We inserted a dropdown feature to place more information for those who would like more details and keep a simple sweet description at a glance with an appropriate photo to represent this information while hoping the audience will like to learn more and click to go to that page.

There is beauty in everything, in everyone, and everywhere we go, but not everyone sees it - we have to help them see it.

One of the best features to have on a website is to let your audience know your accomplishments, awards, and recognitions. Sinkland Farms has been honored to receive much-deserved awards for their business - it's imperative for your viewers to see that.  We created graphics, utilizing professional photographers who have taken pictures on the farm, including Creative Designs by Renee's photography, and inserted a section on each featured page to highlight the accolades given for that service: weddings, events, festivals, etc.

A picture says a thousand words!

We selected a versatile cursive font that embodies both the elegance and rustic charm of the farm that not only artistically displays informational text, but also it contrasts nicely while complimenting their branding design.

Another imperative goal when redesigning Sinkland Farms website was to assist the audience, the user's experience, when navigating throughout the website. We created a sitemap in the footer navigation to help the website user's experience to flow easily with the website's interface in hopes to help them find everything on the website more easily. We created a back to the top link, enabled the header navigation to return upon the user beginning to scroll back to the top as well as the option to navigate from the bottom. The entire goal was to help the user enjoy meandering through the website easily, and to exemplify the beauty of the farm and all of the wonderful entertaining party spaces, events and festivals they have to offer.
